san antonio, tx

A trip to San Antonio to visit Snoopy’s family included a trip to the Japanese Tea Gardens. I had never seen the tea gardens in bloom before, so it was refreshing to walk through it! The gardens were full of life and color.

If anyone hasn't figured it out by now, I like to take pictures of animals I stumble upon - including the sleepy ducks finding shade from the summer sun.

And the fish sucking algae off of the rocks - yuck!

After a yummy lunch at the world famous Mi Tierra, we took our camera to the beautiful San Fernando Cathedral. The cathedral is a reminder that San Antonio is one of the oldest cities in Texas and is the oldest cathedral in the United States.

San Fernando Cathedral being old and historic isn't the only thing cool about it, it is also the final resting place of Texas heroes. The tomb of the Alamo heroes includes Crockett, Bowie and Travis. Remember the Alamo!
